The school has identified the need for internationalization due to the increasing demand from other countries, of participation in the sports training of the center. Likewise, because of the special timing of skiing and mountain activities , it becomes necessary to carry out internships in enterprises of the sector in other countries.
The center has already participated in various mobility projects and exchanges synthesized as follows:
– Stays of practical training in various French and Italian ski stations/ resorts, aimed at students of the specialty FIS first and second level of intermediate and advanced courses.
– Stays of practical training for students of the mountain and climbing specialties of all educational levels in French regions.
– These practices were included within Piremob i Pirefop projects.
The participation of the INS La Pobla de Segur aims at the following objectives :
To provide students with training to enable them to improve their specific competences and skills of their studies (skiing , hiking , climbing ) .
To increase opportunities for internships in highly qualified and internationally recognized companies.
To provide companies in our nearby area (Pallars Jussà & Pallars Sobirà ) , with the benefit of the most recent and innovative practices of other international companies.
To provide students with the opportunity to improve their specific language skills to perform their professional work in the field of winter sports, mountain and climbing.
At the strategic level , the purpose of the center INS La Pobla de Segur is to :
Increase by 10 % the number of students participating in international projects.
To carry out 2 international partnership projects during the duration of the project Erasmus + .
To increase by 10 % the number of partners.
For participation in mobility projects INS La Pobla de Segur performs a series of actions:
– Creates protocols recorded in the documentation of the project of quality.
– Active, continued and selective search for new cooperation partners .
– Provides language training for students and staff.
– Designs new educational projects.
– Uses the e-Twinning learning platform.
– Promotes and disseminates the center participation and results in international projects.
The evaluation and monitoring of the project is performed at the end of the international mobility of students and at the end of each school year.
These actions allow corrections and make decisions to improve participation in the projects.
International partners have been selected because they respond to the guidance , both as ideal sportive and touristic, and also the practice center model that achieves the objectives of the project. On the other hand, they offer the kind of activities and resources suitable for the professional profile ranging from technical to superior of all sports specialties taught at the center . Being located in areas where many sports and tourist activities favors the permanent availability of a large number of trainees to help respond to the demand for activity.
The geographic areas selected for the internationalization of the activities and the interaction with other partners , are the ones which allow the realization of sporting activities with formative character previously indicated .
The beneficiaries of this project are students who are following courses of special regime sportive studies. Due to the specificity of this training, the characteristics of these students are:
Adult students who, with the regulation of the sector, are seeking to improve their skills for career advancement within the field of mountain and snow.
Students with prior work experience.
Students who have completed secondary education.
University students who regard this training as a complement for their career prospects.
Cooperation with other international schools and companies will allow to: compare learning outcomes (based on academic curriculum) with the specific needs of working life; allow the staff to share different methodologies and evaluation systems to improve teaching practice; allow the exchange of good practice and innovation of other international industry in this sector; enable students to improve their competences and specific skills in their studies (skiing, hiking, climbing) and its specific language skills.
Priority 1 : The training center provides the training possibility of superior courses students introducing a schedule framework which will allow the student to follow his/her education making it compatible with a workplace.
The possibility of carrying out some of the studies abroad , encourages students to continue their training at our center. Priority 2 : Collaborate with other related international institutions, the world of education and the workplace, increases the quality and relevance of higher education in a way that teachers and students have the possibility of being constantly updated .
Companies collaborate to define / refine the expected learning outcomes that initially provides the training curriculum . Priority 3 : The conduct and experience prior to international practices has given knowledge recognition to the formative work that the center provides to other countries , allowing other international students to have grown an interest for this training, contributing to enhance the interest for these activities and projects , hence contributing to the improvement of the training and expectations of students.
Priority 4 : Mobility of students can increase their knowledge ,which will affect the drafting of investigation projects of end of cycle . It also facilitates contact with the world of work by means of carrying out practices in companies based in other countries and also allowing to apply the acquired knowledge of the studies .
All this just to give a strong meaning and unity to training, knowledge and work triangle.
Priority 5 : Working for center autonomy that is provided from the educational authority , the center intends to be able to determine the necessary qualifications of the professional teachers of specific training , within which the training and linguistic proficiency are considered important , a fact that will influence favorably not only the teachers, but also the students and future professionals in this sector .
